NEW!! 2.5 Hour UP The River Cruise

We are happy to answer the many requests we’ve had over the years for a longer tour UP the Merrimack through Amesbury, Merrimac, West Newbury, and Rocks Village!

Begin at our usual location in Downtown Newburyport and cruise past Ram, Carr, Eagle, and Deer Islands before passing under the Chain Bridge (the first bridge to be built over the river in 1792) and Interstate 95.

Next come the gorgeous homes of Point Shore (Amesbury), and America’s oldest continuously operating boat building company, Lowell’s Boat Shop, followed by Hatter’s Point (formerly a hat factory) before the river opens up to one of its widest points along the shores of Maudslay State Park, home to eagles, osprey, kingfishers, and wild rice!

As the river narrows again in West Newbury, we approach Haverhill and pass under the Rocks Village Bridge before turning around and riding the tide back down to Newburyport. Its a gorgeous, peaceful excursion to a part of the Merrimack seldom seen unless you own your own boat!
